alms.NET is specialised software for charities and NFPs. It's a contact and donor management system and a membership database; it supports community fundraisers and administers legacy bequests. It organises events and recruits, develops and deploys volunteers. It disburses grants and manages welfare funds.
Our aim in developing alms.NET has been to build in Best Practice, optimising the processes critical to the day-to-day business of fundraising, membership and grant-giving organisations - the essential things that have to happen if money is to be raised, memberships serviced, grants awarded.
Our approach has been to work with partners from across the sector - major, national charities and associations - to model the roles, activities, inputs and outputs entailed by a process, and to represent these visually as Business Process Flows (BPFs).
